What's Happening Now

15 October 2020

Currently, so many people (maybe ALL) that I've talked to are experiencing a vague uneasiness/anxiety. I recently read an article that seems to define it. It's called Acedia. Here's the article, if you'd like to learn more.

But what do we do about it? I've got a few suggestions, if you're interested.

1. Take one day - or moment - at a time. I like to pause, breathe, tune in to my body and remind myself that, right now, in this moment, I am fine. Then I breathe it in.

2. Connect to nature. I have the good fortune to live near the ocean and, each time I sit and watch, and listen to, the waves my jitters subside.

3. Write about it. Sometimes, getting our thoughts and feelings on paper can minimize their effects on us. And, make no mistake, our thoughts and emotions do have profound effects on and our world.

4. Here's something you might be interested in trying.

5. Remember the wisdom in the words "This, too, shall pass."

Enjoy the peace, beauty and love that surrounds you!
